The People, Culture, and Growth Stories That Define SMP LeBlanc Today

There’s something special about watching fresh talent step into a field that’s been your life’s work for four decades. At SMP LeBlanc, that’s exactly where we stand today. We look back at 40 years of hard work with pride, and at the same time, we’re looking forward with excitement as new faces join us and seasoned team members pass on what they know best.

What Four Decades Really Mean

Forty years in any industry is an achievement. There are thousands of small details we’ve learned to perfect, we’ve built trust with contractors and clients across Quebec, and our community knows they can count on us.

When you’ve been here this long, you see the industry shift, buildings rise, and technologies change. Through it all, one truth stays the same: people are at the heart of every project.

For us at SMP LeBlanc, four decades represent a company that hasn’t slowed down. We’ve grown stronger and prouder with each project, and we’re now focused on preparing the next generation of leaders who will carry this legacy forward.

Growing the Team, Growing the Vision

Recent years have brought exciting changes within our walls. Roles have expanded, new faces have returned, and familiar ones have stepped into greater responsibility.

  • The Numbers Guy Who Sees the Big Picture: Paul-André Constantin might crunch numbers all day, but he’s also the one making sure our fleet stays reliable and our financial foundation stays solid. He’s been with us for a couple of years now, quietly safeguarding the assets that carry our legacy into the future.
  • Proof That Hard Work Pays Off: Éloue Ragot didn’t just get promoted from administrative assistant to assistant project manager – she earned it. With so many new responsibilities on her plate, we knew she’d need support, which is exactly why we brought in additional help (a new administrative assistant).
  • The Comeback With Fresh Drive: Charlynn Dicaire worked with us before the pandemic and chose to return with even more energy. Today, she’s juggling administrative work and assisting on-site, reminding us how valuable it is to have people eager to learn on both sides of the desk.
  • The Helper: Hanz Thibeault finds time to jump in on our big project and fill in where needed. His mix of agility and technical know-how brings a helpful hand to our team.
  • The Next Generation in Training: Jeffrey Hall, Mehdi Zidani, Ludovic Roy Savard, Méloée Prud’homme, and, once again, Charlynn Dicaire are all stepping into assistant technician roles. They’re learning directly from our trusted veterans, picking up the skills that keep air and water balancing precise and efficient.

This blend of seasoned expertise and fresh perspective ensures efficiency today and builds a solid foundation for tomorrow.

Passing the Torch

Training the next generation isn’t a buzzword here. It’s how we work. Assistants shadow senior technicians, ask questions on site, and learn directly from hands-on experience. Formal industry training remains part of our vision, but mentorship is what shapes our culture day to day.

A Culture That Connects

Ask anyone here to describe our team, and you’ll hear the same three words: committed, insightful, efficient. Those qualities show up not only on job sites but also when we gather outside of work.

Our annual summer get-together is a simple tradition where older and newer team members alike relax, play games, and share conversations away from projects and deadlines. It’s a reminder that at the heart of our technical expertise is a group of people who genuinely enjoy working and being together.

Looking Ahead

If we had to capture our next chapter in one sentence, it would be this: we are building a team that is stronger, more efficient, more knowledgeable, and more eager to learn every day. The HVAC field will keep evolving, and so will we.

For now, our focus remains clear: honour the legacy built over 40 years and equip the next generation to take it even further.

For over 40 years, SMP LeBlanc has specialized in optimizing air and fluid systems in commercial and institutional buildings across Quebec. Our three-generation, family-owned business continues setting the standard for precision HVAC work while developing industry leaders.
